Role Breakdown
​
UI Art: The art style I chose for this project was pixel art. I chose this because I thought it was rather unique but also because I wasn't too confident in my photoshop skills. From this project alone my photoshop skills and confidence with the software grew immensely giving me the confidence to work with this in future projects. I found in this role that I could produce numerous art assets to a good standard and could follow the UI artwork pipeline with ease and speed. I found that understanding iconography, silhouettes and colour theory helps immensely when making decisions with art work and should be applied where possible. It was also important to know UI specific art pieces such as the 9 splice which sped up the UI process in engine.

UI Design: As this was one of my first in-depth UIs the focus of this project was primarily on the design aspect, focusing on the designing of wireframes, assets, navigation and implementation into UMG with correct considerations for anchor points, typography, iconography, IA design, animations, 9 splices and more.
