About me
Hi, I'm Thomas Wilkinson, I’m a first-class graduate in Games Design graduating in 2022 from Staffordshire University with a specialisation in technical/game design as well as recently working as a Game Designer at Bulldog Studios. My aim is to work in a community of like-minded creatives who all share the same goal to work together to produce a quality experience for their players/users.
I have worked on multiple different projects spanning a wide variety of design and development skills within Unreal Engine, Blueprint, Unity, Jira, Github, Machinations, Office Suite, Adobe Suite and more. I have developed a variety of several complex systems, tools, AI, behaviour trees and features through visual script. I'm a teamplayer and have worked as a project/technical lead within a team of 17 on a sci-fi survival-farming simulator named "Assembly Required" as well as in a professional team to produce the Eco-friendly city builder game "Ecopolis" with Bulldog Studios during 2023.
I also won second place at GradEx graduate exposition in Technical Design 2022 with my Zoo Tycoon Game tech demo "Zoo Life''. The goal across all my work is to produce a core functional and fun experience with a polished result based on testing and feedback, believing iteration and teamwork is the key to success.
About me personally, I love to develop my own smaller games outside of any professional projects, including participating in games jams. Outside of games development however I love playing tabletop/card games, going to music concerts, creative writing and painting, as well as have a keen interest in film, history and palaeontology.
